Reporting a technical issue

A useful report includes the page you used, what you expected, the error message, and whether the problem happens consistently. Your browser and operating system versions can also help. Do not include passwords, API keys, or a complete network log with unrelated personal information.

If an IP address is needed to reproduce the issue, share it only through a contact route you are comfortable using. A screenshot can contain your full IP and location estimate; redact anything that is not needed.

Incorrect location or network information

IP location comes from network metadata and geolocation databases. It can point to a gateway rather than your device. VPNs, mobile networks, and recent address reassignments are common reasons for a mismatch. The IP Location page explains these limits.

Cloudflare supplies the metadata used for your automatic connection result. Explicit public-address lookups may use IPWHOIS.io. Corrections to those databases may need to be made by the relevant provider or network operator.
